I was fortunate to be apart of my best friend’s wedding in New Orleans, Louisiana. She and her husband shared a wedding with friends and family one warm summer night in the Big Easy in the Hyatt French Quarter Hotel. Planned by Jazzi Events and photographed by XOXO Quinntography, the event of the year came together beautifully. The theme was the Great Dorsey (after the book and movie, The Great Gatsby) and we truly enjoyed ourselves celebrating the union of two hearts and two families. I had the pleasure of capturing the moments of the bride, hostess, mother of the bride, mother of the groom and bridesmaids getting ready before the festivities began. It was a time of reflection and a time of laughter. Watching my friend, who used to get me in trouble, plan a life around getting her husband in trouble is truly a humbling experience (lol). Also, it gave the other ladies and I the opportunity to join in a spirit of comrodary as we prepare to give away our sister, daughter, and friend to the man of her dreams. I’ll never forget this day but just in case I do, I’m sooo happy I was able to freeze it in time.
